Then, in one of history’s most dramatic reversals, the world’s greatest empire didn’t just stop persecuting Christianity, but embraced the faith as its own. It was a turning point not just for Christianity, but for all of world history — and the catalyst for it came in 312 AD, on the eve of the Battle of the Milvian Bridge.
